Short Introduction

Sumaiya Nurain Nirjhor is a Law Lecturer with an interdisciplinary academic background spanning Law, International Law, and Criminology and Criminal Justice. She completed her early education in the Science group at Viqarunnisa Noon School, Dhaka. She is committed to teaching, legal research, and student mentoring, and to developing students' critical and analytical understanding of law. She has practical legal experience as an Apprentice Lawyer with the Dhaka Bar Association, along with experience in mooting and debate coaching, supporting students in developing advocacy, public speaking, argumentation, and legal reasoning skills. Her research engages with pressing legal and social issues in Bangladesh, including cyberspace privacy and security, institutional reform in law enforcement, and the implementation of environmental and food safety laws.
